In March 2023, Ramser Development Company bought a parcel of about one acre on Hillview Drive in Altamonte Springs from a private owner. The parcel sits in the center of the 14-acre expansion RDC began building at RV Storage Depot Altamonte Springs in March 2022. The project team has called it the "donut hole."
The parcel was not part of the 55-acre property RDC's joint venture bought in December 2021. The expansion was being built around it.
At the time, construction on the 14-acre expansion was nearing completion. RDC's leasing team at CBRE was working on industrial outdoor storage (IOS) prospects for the new acreage. The first two IOS leases at the property were announced the following month.
The purchase appears in RDC's deal history as "Purchased Acreage in Hillview Tract."
